I figured 12 drawers would be plenty, and since this was priced half off, I went ahead and bought it. I knew it would require some assembly, but when the order was finally delivered TWO WEEKS LATER, it came in four boxes with over 100 parts and... get this...

NO ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS.

I had to go to the Prepac website to even get an idea of how the parts were supposed to work, and if I wanted full instructions I would have to order them. After three days of trying to make this product work, I am returning it for a refund.

Upon delivery, several chips were in the poorly constructed headboard and foot board, and one of the holes needed to mount the mattress slats was completely broken through, making this not only flimsy but unsafe as well. Every single "pre-drilled" hole would have had to be re-drilled because they were too small and too shallow for the screws to be driven by hand or by power drill without causing damage. I did my damnedest to put this POS together, but even when I managed to mount two of the drawers, they were noticeably misaligned. I somehow took them down after the cheap screws had been nearly stripped away and put it all back in the boxes. Hopefully this miserable failure of a bed will be out of my apartment in a few days.

Long story short: a flimsy, poorly designed bed frame that would be more easily made from scratch. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
