(More customer reviews)The wood pieces looked awful. Many were stained green as if with mold and there were knots and black patches. The screw heads stuck up above the wood so they snag the mattress! Took two people to put it together and so many screws were really tiring on the wrists - really needed a power screwdriver.

The mattress was covered with some kind of cheesecloth which had not been washed after weaving and clearly would shrink to half its size if water ever touched it. But worst of all, after one night there was a hollow where I had slept and after three nights the center was 5 inches (I am not exaggerating) deeper than the sides!

I threw out the mattress as soon as I could get a new one (from a different seller, you bet!). Still using the frame, with an old quilt covering it so it won't destroy the new mattress. Would have done much better with some boards and blocks from a home center!
