(More customer reviews)We got this, and if we still had the box & receipt we'd return it only a week after getting it (unfortunately, we don't, but oh well). I liked the low voltage approach, and was OK with the fact that it didn't get too warm.Initially it worked well, but after 2 nights one side stopped heating completely. I swapped the two sides controllers, the same side stayed cold (indicating the pad itself was the problem). One thing that sold me on it initially was the fact that one reviewer commented that it was quiet, not clicking like some do.The controllers don't click on/off, but they do make a quiet, extremely high frequency whine when plugged in, even if the unit is turned off. My girlfriend couldn't hear it easily, but it was loud enough to wake me up, as I'm very sensitive to sound. I eventually just unplugged it at 4AM to get some sleep. Also, the pad doesn't work well with a Tempurpedic mattress; it insulates the mattress enough that the adaptive quality of the mattress no longer works well, causing it to be less comfortable.So, defective, noisy, and ill suited to our mattress...not something I would recommend.If you do chose to get it, hang on to your receipt and be ready to ship it back if/when it fails.
