Made in handloom woven cotton fabric, bed spreads from Jaipur are eye catching. Beautiful traditional Indian motifs are hand block printed by artisans of Jaipur. There is also some thread embroidery around each motif. These natural block printed bed spreads have some kind of air conditioning effort. They make you feel cool in summers and warm in winters.

Bedspreads in true to life colors. Bedspreads coverlets from ShalinCraft are handcrafted by textile artisans of Jaipur in Rajasthan. These bedspread coverlets are made in double layer cotton fabric. The resulting heaviness from two layers allows the bedspread coverlet to fall straight on the sides.Total cutting and stitching work in the Applique Cut work is done by hand. It is distinct from what is known as patch work in which small pieces of cut fabrics are usually joined side by side to make a large piece of fabric or for repairing a damaged fabric.

(More customer reviews)I was astounded by the beautiful vivid colors, patterns and hand stitching. The pictures don't do it justice.
The dimensions are exaggerated by a few inches.
The shipment came promptly, and nicely packed. Would buy again from this company.

Bedspreads coverlets from ShalinCraft are handcrafted by textile artisans of Jaipur in Rajasthan. These bedspread coverlets are made in double layer cotton fabric. The resulting heaviness from two layers allows the bedspread coverlet to fall straight on the sides. Motifs in these prints are typically flora and fauna found in India. A little embroidery work is also done around these motifs. Wimpy, washed out pastels arent up to the mark any more and insipid flowers are out. ShalinCraft bed covers help you make strong color statement. Their mouth watering hot and spicy colors introduce a whole new attitude about what is right for the bedroom.

Indian Bedspread Cotton Home Accessories Double Layered Embroidered Wood Block Print Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Wedding presents are important to my family. We want to give something unusual, beautiful and useful, that has lasting value.I had received an Indian throw and began searching online for something similar. I found more than I expected at Shalin Craft. They sell handmade coverlets for twin, queenand king-sized beds. The term coverlet refers to two pieces of fabric -- not flimsy like Indian bedspreads -- that are stitched together around the edges and quilted with a simple running stitch.

The design makes them so important. The hand blocking is visually similar to American pieced quilts, and was probably an influence on them. Some have bold colors in a strong graphic design that you'd see in an Amish quilt. Some use color to create a 3-D effect similar to the American pattern Baby Blocks. There are many choices. These fabrics are a subject of scholarship and museum collections.Handmade, they are nevertheless very affordable. The vendor in India send the quilt the same day it was ordered. It arrived quickly and was safely packaged, with a thank you note.Highly recommended.
